I used to have a large collection of books that I took pride in. However, I’ve completely switched to ebooks now. My physical book collection, for the most part, is just gathering dust on the bookshelf now.
We should have some type of ebook conversion service to legally convert a physical book collection to an ebook collection.
Perhaps a company like Amazon, Apple, or Google can offer for people to send in their physical books for recycling and allow users to download the ebook version of the book for no additional charge. Or, perhaps the book publishers themselves could offer such a service.
This does not have to be a free service. Since I’m personally all-in on the concept of moving my entire book collection to electronic formats, I would even consider paying money if I could swap my physical books for ebooks.
