Most public libraries these days have online catalogs of their resources. Every book, music CD, DVD, and magazine they have is indexed in a fully searchable database.
What if you could integrate your library’s catalog of resources with the catalogs of local resources on your devices? In other words, your devices can connect with your library’s resources as if you owned them.
For example, your ebook reader app (like the Kindle app) will display all the books you own, but it can also display all the books that your library system owns. You can read the books you own instantly. Any book owned by the library will have options available, such as “Place a hold” or “Check out ebook.”
Perhaps you can pay an additional library membership fee to get physical resources delivered to your home by drone or local driver.
