Copywriting is one of the most lucrative forms of writing. It’s the art of writing marketing text for advertisements. In copywriting, there are many tricks of the trade, pitfalls to avoid, and best practices to follow.
There are many apps out there that help writers strengthen their writing and avoid common stumbling blocks in writing. A few that come to mind are Hemingway, Grammarly, and ProWritingAid. However, none of these writing apps focus on copywriting.
I think copywriting community would be willing to pay well for a writing app designed specifically to help them write marketing copy. Such an app could work a lot like other writing apps, but instead of pointing out poor writing and grammar mistakes, it would focus on pointing out weak words, boring prose, negative imagery, and other areas where marketing copy could be improved. The app could have templates for different types of marketing situations (like Facebook ads, product labels, mailing list call to action, etc.). It could also have a library of swipe files that users could draw from to put together compelling advertisements.
