Kids grow up so quickly, and as they grow, they need and want very different things. A highchair and playpen may suit a two-year-old, but after a couple years, those items might be useless to them. You might want to trade that highchair and playpen for a lunchbox and crayons. Even among older kids, wants and needs vary greatly between say, middle school and high school students.
Is there an app for this? Why, yes there is. I did a quick search and found a few:
KidsTrade: This looks like an iOS-only app. The main drawback seems to be that you can only trade with friends and not strangers.
Kidizen: An Android app for buying and selling used kids clothing.
Markid: An iOS app that is a digital marketplace for buying and selling kids items.
Once Upon A Child: They have stores across the United States for buying and selling gently used kids items of all types.
Swap.com: An online consignment shop where you can send your unwanted items to sell, and shop for items that other people no longer need.
If you’ve tried these apps and sites and none of them do what you need them to do, then there’s a golden opportunity to create the next million-dollar killer app!
